As the European Sr. HR Leader at VPG, a key entity within the global SIGI family, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping talent strategies spanning Sweden, UK, France, and Germany. With the ethos of health and safety underpinning our products, this role embodies our commitment to excellence, durability, the broader well-being of the workforce, and the operationalizing of our global talent strategy in Europe.
At the heart of our operations are our premier European brands, Marco and Hymo, which specialize in lifting table production, positioning us as leaders in this domain.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic business partner and advisor to the EMEA (European, Middle East, and Africa) General Manager and leadership team in the deployment and administration of talent strategies.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to cultivate an organizational culture centered on performance, continuous improvement, and inclusivity.
- Spearhead HR operations for both the headquarters and international offices, ensuring alignment with global strategies.
- Oversee recruitment, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with international labor laws and manage employee relations.
- Engage with labor organizations and union representatives to resolve complex employee issues.
- Champion employee engagement and retention strategies, including training and professional development.
- Provide tools and guidelines to develop and maintain a high-quality HR function, including leading HRIS initiatives, leveraging technology and data to inform decisions.
Qualifications – Skills and Experience
- 10+ years in HR, with experience navigating a global matrix organization.
- Minimum of 5 years expertise in multi-country European recruitment and HR operations, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Profound knowledge of employment laws, recruitment, employee relations, and compensation.
- Management experience, minimum of 5 years.
- Proficiency in HR IT systems and Microsoft Suite.
- Fluency in Swedish and English; proficiency in German or French is a plus.
- Integrity, with a strong sense of confidentiality.
- Result-driven, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and challenges.
- Positive and adaptive, thriving in dynamic settings.
- Empathetic and collaborative leadership style, coupled with a coaching and motivational mindset.
