Our new second-generation MDL-Industrial offers savings all the way from purchase to transport to installation and operation. Marketing director Stefan Petersson says many customers who saw the original product on its launch at LogiMAT in Stuttgart last year rated it “fantastic”.
Sold!
“The market’s response to the original model was so enthusiastic that our display unit was bought off the stand on the very first day at LogiMAT,” recalls Stefan. “We had big expectations for it, but that was exceptional!”
“I think the very enthusiastic response shows we have delivered the product the market really needs,” he says. “The MDL-I is particularly suitable for areas where space is restricted, or you need really rapid installation.”
“Quick installation saves money, and in fact the lifetime costs are a big part of the MDL-I’s appeal. A recent study has shown that our MDL-I saves more than €6000 on post-purchase costs, including €4000 on installation alone.”
The second-generation MDL-I remains easy to transport to site for weld-free assembly. “That means a couple of people can assemble the lift in just one day,” says Stefan. “Compare that with multi-day assembly, with all the additional costs such as hotel bills, and the savings quickly mount up.”
Second-generation improvements
Our new second-generation MDL-I is now even better. Improvements include auto-leveling to ±5 mm height to create and maintain precise positioning, and an integrated upper landing gate for increased safety (PLd).
Performance is outstanding, with the ability to lift 1-tonne loads between two fixed levels up to 5.5 m apart at 150 mm/s. For extra safety, the bridge design minimizes the gap (10 mm) between the platform and the upper fixed level. And endurance is built in, with the MDL-I rated at 25 cycles per hour over two shifts, 150,000 cycles per year.
Service and maintenance are still a breeze, using standard components that are kept in stock. Finally, the MDL-I is suitable for automatic roller conveyor systems.
Extends product range
“The new MDL-I is a valuable extension of our product range,” observes Stefan. “Our scissor lifts are ideal for heights up to 3 m, but what if you need to go higher? At greater heights indoors, our new MDL-I is faster and smarter than any other lift. When a customer is looking for a lift, we can now always offer the smartest customized solution.”
